NB: 17th August to 27th September: I'm going to America.  If you want moccasins get your orders in fast please, I'd love to make them for you before I go.

I'll be landing in Los Angeles, going to Burning Man and time to spare for fun, stuff and research:  I really want to hear from people in America, either to make you shoes or better still from those with tips for my hopes and dreams for my trip: 

I'd like to meet other moccasin makers, rest my heart in Native Nation culture and learn!  I want to lie in the landscape, enjoy, breathe, tread gently and be.  I especially want to learn more about making moccasins, maybe weaving, and any other creative skills.  I have always felt a great affinity with the Native American people's ways of spirit, belief, respect, reverence, wisdom and especially connection to Mother Nature.  I believe I am strongly on that wavelength though I'm an Anglo-Afro-Australian, sort of modern pagan environmentalist... basically a human.  If you have any leads or fancy hanging out for skills, cultural exchange or just some decent earthy grooviness please please please get in touch.  jf@jannfrench.com

New Option with the Moccasins

For those who want a thicker shoe.  I now also offer all my shoe and short boot styles in a double layer version.  Double layer on the foot part as my  tall Pull-On and Wrap Around boots have always been made. 
I make them by laminating two layers of leather together before I sew them together.  If you would like this option then please add $50 to prices quoted for single layer footwear.
